Help & FAQ
Ironhavn is a non-custodial wallet. Your keys never leave your device.
Getting Started
Create a new wallet
- Open Ironhavn and tap Create New Wallet.
- Read the on-screen warning, then tap Continue.
- Write down your 12-word recovery phrase on paper — do not screenshot or store it digitally.
- Verify your recovery phrase when prompted.
- Your wallet is ready. Your accounts are derived from this phrase.
Import an existing wallet
- Tap Import Wallet on the start screen.
- Enter your 12- or 24-word recovery phrase.
- Ironhavn will derive your accounts and display your balances.
Add a watch-only address
Tap the account selector → Add Account → Watch Address. Paste any EVM address or ENS name. Watch-only accounts display balances and history but cannot sign transactions.
Send tokens
- Tap Send from wallet home.
- Enter the recipient address or ENS name.
- Choose a token, enter the amount, and review the network fee.
- Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode to broadcast.
Receive tokens
Tap Receive to display your QR code and address. Select the correct network before sharing — sending on the wrong network can result in permanent loss.
Use the browser and dApps
Tap the Browser tab and enter any dApp URL. When the site requests a wallet connection, review the permissions and approve. Revoke access at any time from Connected apps in the Security tab.
Back up your recovery phrase
Open the Security tab and tap Reveal phrase. Authenticate, write the words down in order on paper, then complete the backup verification challenge. Store the phrase offline — not in a photo, note, or cloud document. If your phone is lost or damaged, this phrase is the only way to restore your wallet.
Restrict direct sends to saved contacts
In the Security tab, enable Only send to saved contacts to limit direct transfers to your own wallet and addresses you have saved after verifying them independently. This setting does not replace transaction review and does not govern dApp-initiated transactions.
FAQ
Which networks does Ironhavn support?
- Ethereum
- Base
- Arbitrum
- Optimism
- Polygon
Is Ironhavn custodial?
No. Your recovery phrase and private keys are generated on your device and stored in the iOS Keychain. Kamara Labs never has access to them — and cannot recover your wallet if you lose your recovery phrase.
I lost my recovery phrase. Can you recover my wallet?
No. This is a fundamental property of self-custody. There is no server-side backup. If your recovery phrase is lost and your device is gone or reset, the wallet and its funds cannot be recovered by anyone.
Does Ironhavn support Bitcoin?
Not in this release. Ironhavn v1 supports EVM-compatible networks only. Bitcoin wallet support is planned for a future version.
I sent tokens to the wrong address. Can you reverse it?
No. Blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed. Kamara Labs has no ability to freeze, redirect, or recover sent funds. Always double-check the address and network before broadcasting.
A site I tried to visit was blocked. Why?
Ironhavn's browser includes typosquat and lookalike domain detection to protect against phishing. If a legitimate site was blocked, email us at kamaralabs@gmail.com with the URL so we can review it.
Why does every transaction require Face ID or my passcode?
Every send, swap, and dApp approval requires local authentication — even if you authenticated recently. This ensures a transaction can only be signed by someone physically present with your device.
Does Ironhavn support WalletConnect?
Not in this release. You can connect to dApps directly through the built-in browser. WalletConnect support is planned for a future version.
